Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG)

The Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (the Act) provides for a scheme whereby individuals with a known history of harm can be prevented from doing work with protected adults.

Disclosure Scotland does not just collect vetting information about individuals, it also assesses the information so that individuals who are considered unsuitable, on the basis of vetting information, are prevented from entering the workforce.
