Do I need experience?

Yes, you are required to have a minimum of 6 months clinical nursing or care sector experience.

Is there enough work?

Yes we provide staff to a wide range of clients throughout the Grampian region all year round.

Can I choose where I prefer to work and when?

Yes. We log your preferences and make every effort to allocate you to your preferred places of work. We also log your availability so that we are aware of the days in which you are looking for work. This can also vary from week to week.

Do I have to work a set amount of shifts?

No. You choose when you want to work. However to remain active on our register you are required to work 10 shifts per year and to qualify for the holiday prize draw you will need to work 20 shifts per year.

Am I entitled to holiday pay?

Yes. You receive the equivalent of 24 days a year which is incorporated into your hourly rate. Details of which are explained both in our application pack and at interview.

Am I entitled to travelling expenses?

We pay travel for shifts worked out with the city boundaries either by the mile or re-imbursement of bus/train fare. However we do not pay travel for shifts worked within the city.

Does the agency provide uniforms?

You can purchase your uniform from the agency or alternatively from Alexandra’s on Union Street.

What kind of work is there?

We supply to nursing homes, hospitals, supported living for learning disabilities and mental health.

How am I paid?

You are paid weekly directly into your bank or building society account.

Do I need to have my own transport?

No. However if using public transport it is advisable to purchase a map and to pick up some bus timetables to assist in getting to your shift.
